Apply Milorganite® in Late Fall for a Healthy Lawn in Spring
By Jaime Staufenbeil, Milorganite® Agronomist
2 MIN READ
Northerners with cool-season lawns apply your dormant application of Milorganite fertilizer as late in the season as possible, just before the first deep freeze or snowfall—generally after Halloween but before Thanksgiving. Depending on the weather in your area.

There are many benefits to dormant lawn fertilization—also known as dormant feeding or winter fertilization— such as helping your lawn recover more quickly from winter damage and snow mold. Your lawn will be healthier and may green up nearly two weeks earlier.
